2019 Outdoor registration is NOW OPEN!
KC Trojans' Grassroots Program follows Canada Soccer's Long-Term Player Development model.
Our program utilizes both the “Active Start” and “FUNdamentals” curriculum set out by Soccer Canada. It is established to run with academy style programming. This creates a fun environment for players and parents who enjoy being active while learning new skills.
Our Grassroots Program is offered to both boys and girls between 4 and 7 years old living South of the North Saskatchewan River. Players on the north side of the river should contact EIYSA's for a list of North Zone clubs (EIYSA).
The program is led by, Alberta Soccer Technical Lead award winner, Jorge Rodriquez of the International Soccer Academy of Canada. This partnership ensures we follow the correct CSA curriculum while bringing a bit of South American flare to our sessions. The academy is assisted by volunteer parent coaches. Practices are generally held 2 times per week, for 45 to 60 minutes per session. Players are expected to attend practices on a regular basis.
Practice days, times and locations are determined based on the availability of the coaches and facilities. Mini-festivals are scheduled periodically during the season to introduce players to a competitive game environment.
